The Riverine Forest along the Zambezi is an important part of the rivers experience. The architecture, for the most part, will be hidden by the vegetation and will have minimal visual impact. Due to the tall trees, views of the river will be limited except where the architecture is projected through the tree canopies. The hotel is shifted to the north of the site, close to the existing treeline to immerse the architecture and the experience into the riverine eco-system.
This also allows the elements of the building to be stretched into the river to accommodate river related activities. The positioning of the hotel allows for future development of the site to expand the capacity of the hotel. The restaurant and bar areas have been positioned so that these areas can be expanded with further developments.
